Project

To examine how Trustees might work better with staff and be better informed about issues and help to problem solve more effectively.

With a number of new Trustees coming on board the Chairman was keen to get a sense of working together both with each other but also with staff and for Trustees to feel they could contribute effectively to the organisation.

How we helped:

• Marilyn Scott worked with Trustees and staff to look at aims and objectives and mission and vision and to ensure that all Trustees understood these and agreed with them
• A two day Awayday was facilitated by Marilyn to examine the current relationships and procedures, pinpoint the issues and facilitate discussions to solve some of the issues together.
• Marilyn suggested new ways of working and tested these with small group discussion throughout the two days and resolved a new structure and new channels of communication. groups and discussion.
• Marilyn provided facilitation and support and helped to clarify ideas and aspirations in a friendly and non threatening environment.
• Marilyn helped Trustees to examine their behaviours and examine alternative ways of working
• Marilyn worked with the CEO and Chairman in advance of the workshops to ensure they delivered the objectives for the day and then followed up with an action plan.
