Project description

Arundel Museum is a new build museum in the attractive town of Arundel. The museum is run by volunteers and has one NLHF funded post. The project was funded by NLHF and the museum opened in 2013. It is recognised as an exemplar project and the museum is already very successful and fulfilling its original purpose. CCN worked with the Trustees to evaluate every stage of the project. We gathered together all evaluations carried out since opening and then carried out a series of further interviews with volunteers and with users. Following the NLHF recommended format we produced a report which was presented at a forum to Trustees and key volunteers for their approval. The report was submitted as part of the final evaluation of the project to NLHF. We particularly highlighted where the project had been very successful and gave examples which other projects might follow. We discussed with Trustees their journey of change and helped them to evaluate where they might have done things differently and what this meant for the ongoing operation of the museum.
